| Ms. Hougen's Third Grade | | Third Grade in Room 104 is the BEST!
We are busy learning every day! Our three big areas of focus are reading, math and writing. In our Reader's Workshop students have time to work independently as well as in small groups. In math we study many areas of math such as adding and subtracting, multiplication, measuring, telling time, counting money, making graphs and even more. In writing we learn about writing by reading great books and then using what we learn to write our own stories. We work on narratives, poems, reports, basic paragraphs and more! We also need to learn about grammar and spelling while writing. As you can see we are busy! Besides learning the basics, we work on how to get along. That means talking about how to respect others and work with others.
