My name is Mrs. Stohlmann and I teach ELL students in the
three 2nd grade classrooms and in Ms. An's 5th grade classroom. This
is my 23rd year of teaching and my 12th year of teaching ELL students.
Over the years I have collected success stories from my students. Some of
my students knew zero English when they came to my class. After a
couple of years they were speaking and writing quite well. Later they
received full scholarships to the University of Minnesota.
I really believe in my students. I respect them and respect their ability
to succeed. I encourage a lot of creativity with my students. I specialize
in visual learning. My students know that I care.
I hope that my students at Franklin will be able to increase their love
of learning, their comprehension, fluency and vocabulary. I know that I
will do my best to help them reach their goals.
